Dr. Siva Kumar

Dr. K. Sivakumar is presently working as a Professor in the Pondicherry University. Previously, served as a Scientist G in the Wildlife Institute of India and drafted the 5^th National Biodiversity Report and the 3^rd National Wildlife Action Plan of India. Expert Advisor to NITI Aayog and MoEF&CC with respect to SDGs related to Marine Biodiversity and MPAs.  He was leading the Marine Mammals Recovery Programs in India. He is a member of various national and international bodies including the Programme Advisory Committee of ANRF, India, CAG Member of NCERT, Member of Tamil Nadu Biodiversity Board, and Technical Advisory Group to the UNEP-CMS-Dugong MoU.
